New Delhi. Royal welcome with garlands, shehnai and elephants; dinner onboard as the train rolls out.

Jaipur. Albert Hall Museum, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and Amber Fort; lunch at a 5-star heritage hotel.

Sawai Madhopur & Chittorgarh. Dawn safari in Ranthambore National Park, then the warrior fort of Chittorgarh.

Udaipur. Saheliyon-ki-Bari, City Palace, Crystal Gallery and a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Jaisalmer. Gadisar Lake, the golden fort, Patwa Haveli, camel ride and high-tea at the sand dunes with folk music.
